ON MY RADAR - BEAUTY

IMG_9736.jpeg

For 2019, I want to buy the least amount of makeup as possible. Consumerism is real and it’s a real issue within the beauty community. I don’t have a lot but I do have more than necessary. I want to sell/give away those products that no longer serve me purpose or I simply never fell in love with. I want to restock my basic needs but with quality. I want clean make up that is free of chemicals and harsh ingredients from companies that care about people as much as they care about their product.

I am slowly making that transition so I will not lie to you, there are some brands that I am still “ehh” about that I want products from…I really am trying here but some products are just one of a kind, okay?

Here are the products on my radar and possibly in my Sephora Bag…

Supergoop! 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 ($38) - The importance of protecting our skin from the harsh sun rays is finally clicking, specially because I darken within minutes! I will continue to research face sunblocks but for having oily skin, this is one is the best one I’ve come across.

OLEHENRIKSEN Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator ($34) - As mentioned, I have oily skin but during the summer…it’s gross. I don’t think it’d be necessary to get multiple mattifying products as that would probably dry out my face. This looks quite promising and it has been the most recommended so this is something I am considering.

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask ($20) - Oh man! This lip mask is amazing! I have gotten multiple samples from Sephora and my lips love it. I am ready to get the full size the only thing I am having trouble deciding is scent. Do I want vanilla or the original?

THE ORDINARY Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% ($5.90) - Another greatly reviewed product I came across to help with large pores and oily skin. This is the most affordable and that’s my favorite part.

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette in Pillow Talk ($53) - Yikes! That price point has me nearly praying about this purchase. I am doing the most research on this as it is extremely raved about and I want to develop my own opinion on it before buying. The only thing I have left to do is swatch the shadows at a Sephora and then I will decide.

KOSAS Tinted Face Oil Foundation ($42) - This is the second product I am doing the most research on. This is a well loved product in the clean beauty community and not being a big fan of foundation, this seems perfect. I am torn between this and the Glossier Skin Tint. I want the quality of the Kosas one but I also want the price point of the skin tint…

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Lip Cream ($7.99) - I am a sucker for lip products even if I don’t use them every day. The butter bronzer by PF is now my favorite bronzer and when I found out that they released these lip creams based off the same concept and scent, I got ready to buy them! I will still be looking more into them but so far they look they’re exactly what I want for a daily lip product.

So far these are the only items in my radar. Knowing me, I will probably have more and/or replace a lot of the ones on this list. If you know of any dupes or have any information on these products you think would be helpful, please let me know!
